Inauguration of Smartphone and Tab Fair

The 'Smartphone and Tab Expo-2022' has started today (Thursday) from 10 am to give the users of the country the opportunity to view and buy modern smartphones and tablet computers. The three-day fair will continue till Saturday at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital. The fair will run every day till 8 pm. Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar as the chief guest officially inaugurated the fair at 4 pm today at Bangabandhu International Conference Center. As guests who were present at the event were, Huawei Technologies Chief Operating Officer Tao Guanzio, Teletalk Bangladesh Limited Managing Director Md. Sahab Uddin, Oppo Bangladesh Managing Director Damon Young, Transon Bangladesh CEO Rezwanul Haque, Vivo Bangladesh Sales Director Sharon Wayne, Realme Managing Director Tim Shaw, Country manager of Samsung India Electronics Limited Huansang Wu, Managing Director and CEO of DX Group Dewan Kanon, and Muhammad Khan, Chief Executive Officer of Maker Communications. Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Mostafa Jabbar said, “For the first time, there is an opportunity for all interested viewers to get 5G experience in this event. Anyone can take this experience from Teletalk Bangladesh stall. Besides, I can proudly say that most of the smartphones involved in this event are being manufactured in Bangladesh. Talking about the IT sector, he said, "I have been working in the IT sector for the last 35 years. We have come a long way in the visionary thinking of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Hopefully we can go farther as we move forward on that path. He thanked the organizers for giving everyone the opportunity to experience 5G for the first time at the event. He mentioned that last December 12, we launched 5G in Bangladesh and today is January 6, At the Smartphone and Tab Expo 2022, the people of Bangladesh will be able to experience 5G live here for the first time. I thank Teletalk and Huawei for this to happen. Another hope is that in 2019 I saw that Huawei's telecommunications sector has more than 5,000 patents. In Bangladesh we can use them effectively. Huawei Technologies Chief Operating Officer Tao Guanzio said that Bangladesh is making great strides in the development of Digital Bangladesh. As the number of mobile users has increased, Huawei has been working as a development partner of Bangladesh in the telecommunications sector. We are happy to be able to participate in all kinds of activities from 2G to 5G in this advancement of Bangladesh. From an investment efficiency standpoint, investing in digitization and telecom-ICT is 6.7 times more efficient than investing in other areas of ICT. Huawei has witnessed and participated in the unprecedented development of mobile communications in Bangladesh. In future we will unveil the Bangladesh 5G To be Use case and help spread 5G in the local community. Md. Sahab Uddin, Managing Director of Teletalk Bangladesh Limited, said that 5G technology facility has been launched in the country on December 12 on a trial basis. We are very happy that through this event we have been able to give the viewers a chance to experience 5G live. I urge everyone to take this experience at Teletalk's stall. After the inauguration, the chief guest officially unveiled Samsung's new 5-G flagship S-21FE model mobile phone. According to the organizers, visitors can enter the fair for free. However, no one can enter the fair without wearing a mask. The fair can be entered only if it is acceptable by measuring the temperature at the entrance. As always, the country's smart device users are getting a chance to try out the latest models of smartphones and tabs at this fair. Smartphones of different brands including Samsung, Oppo, Realme, Xiaomi, Techno, Vivo, Walton, One Plus are available here. There are also several stalls and pavilions with accessories, gadgets and accessories for smartphones. For the first time in the country, 5G experience zone has been created for everyone in the fair. With the management of mobile operator Teletalk and the technical support of Huawei Technologies Bangladesh, the viewers are able to experience 5G directly in this zone. This year's fair is sponsored by mobile bands Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Techno and DX. Huawei is the technology partner of the fair and E-Courier is the logistics partner.
